Sixth Class have been very active in recent weeks, having fun at the Sponsored Walk in Marlay, starting the first week of their Cycling Course. In the classroom too…painting Salvador Dali themed “Spring Birds” and performing a Jackson Five “I Want You Back” inspired drama!
Our 6th Class cricket team won their first game of the Leinster Leprechaun Cupn against St. Joseph’s all boys school in Clondalkin – well done Taney!
When mirroring you partner’s dance moves in P.E. turns into a girls vs boys dance off!!
Before Ms. Dolan’s class embark on their final project of the year they had some fantastic project presentations from two members of the other class! This final project will be on a topic of the children’s choice and it will include a PowerPoint and a presentation.
Mrs Martin’s sixth class buddied up with Miss Leahy’s junior infants to help them with their reading and sounds, and everyone had great fun!
Sixth class were using some of their new “score & slip” skills in clay to create some delicious looking cupcakes.
Sixth class have been learning about France in Geography and History. To finish off the topic they created a Travel Brochure for France. This also incorporated persuasive writing and advertising awareness!
Sixth class have completed a delightful experiment to model the process of Digestion!
They used a ziploc bag to represent the stomach, tights which were the small intestine, a metal tray or tupperware box which was the body, and a paper cup with a hole in it which represented both the large intestine and the rectum.
