Senior Infants have had a very busy term cutting and sticking, painting lovely autumn trees, making scarecrows and reading stories about scarecrows.
It was an exciting day to day in 1st and 2nd classes, we got all our new tables and chairs and had to help carry the old ones out of the classroom, luckily 6th Class came to help with the desks!
We have been enjoying some playtime in the mornings before we start our work . We have been making lots of different things, patterns and creatures that we are very proud of. We have also been enjoying some brain breaks especially on wet days. We are working really hard and enjoying being back in school.
Senior Infants had such a fun summer trip to Tinahely Farm where they met lots of animals and played on the go carts.
We have played and learned lots! We have planted broad beans and sunflowers. During Active Week we did Yoga and Playball, we were dancing and played Ultimate Frisbee!
Happy holidays Senior Infants!
Senior infants have been reading Jack and the Beanstalk. We read several versions and then picked our favourite one. We made big beanstalks in our groups.
Senior Infants have been learning about squares, rectangles, triangles and circles. They used matchsticks, straws, lollipop sticks and playdough to make the shapes.
We were looking for number and shapes all around us during Maths Week. We were learning to play card games and dominos which the children can play at school and at home.
