Junior Infants have worked so hard and have learnt many new things.  They learnt how to cut, stick, participate in a fire drill and to develop their motor skills.  They are all very excited about Halloween and dressing up.

Enjoy your mid term break and stay safe.

Learning through play

Junior Infants have had a busy first month in Taney!  They have worked hard on their fine motor skills to prepare for writing and have been busy learning all about patterns in Maths.

Learning through play is fundamental in early years and this month our theme was “Myself” and “The Baby Clinic”.  The boys and girls did a great job looking after the babies and making sure they are healthy and well cared for.

Congratulations to one of my Junior Infants who entered her boat into “Dublin’s Outdoor” competition (see top middle photo).  She won the “runner up” prize.  We are very impressed with her lovely colouring and fantastic cutting and sticking!  A great job – Well done!

Junior Infants are learning all about animals this month.

The children have been making bug hotels, going on bug hunts and completing a range of activities.

They are all working really hard at home.
