Bhí Seó Faisín againn i rang a cúig inniu. Bhí éadaí an-ait á gcaitheamh ag na daltaí. Ach, bhí a bhfeisteas chomh seolta! Bhí gach saghas rud le feiceáil, chonaic mé tumadóir, bean galánta, fear gnó le cupáin caife, sagart, béar agus bainis. Maith sibh gach duine!!
End of Year Boys Hockey Tournament
On the sunniest afternoon of the year we ended our boys hockey training season with a Fun Tournament. The teams played in their different team colours with two teams drawing for the top spot (the Black Team from the front pitch and the Pink Team from the back pitch). Everyone enjoyed the hockey….and the sunshine!! Thanks so much to Susan Gogan for doing such a great job of coordinating hockey this year.
Fun/Sponsored Walk in Marlay Park
We ran an art competition to choose two designs for the junior and senior sponsorship cards and our two winners came from Junior Infants and Third Class, both the youngest classes in their respective categories! It was a really tough to choose winners from all the fantastic artwork entered, some of which you can see in this post.
Our Fun/Sponsored Walk takes place in Marlay this Thursday 19 April and we look forward to seeing you all there – full details below:
Parking: in the two back car parks off College Road (near the large playground).
Meeting/Registration Point: beside the tennis courts and shed across from the field where Sports Day is held. Each child will meet at their Class Flag and register with a PTA member/Class Rep, identified by high-vis jackets.

Sponsorship Monies
We would implore you not to bring any sponsorship money to the Walk itself as we will not be able to accept it then. Pupils are asked to place their completed card and money inside an envelope, seal it and return it to their teacher (check that the name and class is on the sponsorship card) by Friday, 4th May.
Housekeeping
Please ensure that your child is appropriately dressed (runners etc.) and ideally goes to the toilet before leaving the house. A small snack and drink will be provided on completion of the walk. Younger siblings are very welcome to join, as long as they’re accompanied by a parent.

Taney Girls A Team Hockey Finals
The Taney Girls A Team played in the Leinster Division 1 hockey final against Castle Park Dalkey in Railway Union HC on Tuesday cheered on by lots of black and red clad supporters, the nail biting game finished 2-1 against our girls after some bad luck in the final minutes and despite a very strong performance. Our girls did the school proud – well done!!!
