The four boys senior soccer teams have proceeded with their training this term but the adverse weather has played havoc with their league and cup fixtures so far. However, the climate cooperated on 16th March when two five-a-side boys teams from 6th Class entered the Spar FAI Primary School 5s tournament. Both teams played very well and the support shown for each other was outstanding, demonstrating true friendship amongst the boys. Out of 22 teams from Dublin schools, both qualified out of the league games. The semi-finals was a tense affair for the players and parent supporters alike, with the game finishing 0-0 before penalties and sudden death. A super save and two firstclass goals secured a place in the final. Taney versus Killester proved a tough match with Taney looking very promising from the start but the opposition came up trumps with a 2-0 win. Well done boys for a performance you should be very proud of!
